Homeless man’s old camp

Reported via mobile in the Litter (NH) category anonymously at 09:49, Mon 7 February 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3294360.

Moderated by National Highways at 10:35, Fri 8 July 2022

This relates to the area of land between the M5 motorway and the footpath running alongside the playing fields used by Exeter University. A homeless man was living there (where pin shown on map) but has since been housed. Left behind is his camp with a huge amount of litter to clear, as well as general litter recently uncovered by the vegetation being cut back by highways employees. As this land isn’t owned by the council they won’t clear it up. It requires specialist protective equipment due to the nature of the camp and large volume of litter, otherwise I’d just do it myself. It says don’t include contact details but I would like to be contacted to know that this will be cleared please as it’s right next to a public footpath used regularly and has been in this state for around 6 months with no change.
