Massive pot hole

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3293417.

Collection of potholes on the a1 southbound in the slow lane between the A6121 and the A43, that appear to be multiplying. Something needs to be done about them before they cause major damage to someone or something.

  • Thank you for your report concerning potholes on the A1.

    We’re aware of the issue. A repair is planned, and the works should be completed in the next few months. We will check this area weekly and if a repair is needed sooner this will be scheduled.

  • Road surface is getting worse, becoming dangerous to drive over especially at 70mph

  • Road surface deteriorating - small cars are regularly thrown around in the inside lane, I note the north bound carriageway has been resurfaced, is this someone misreading their work order and resurfacing the wrong side of the A1 ?
