Traffic lights seem to be not working as they used to

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 08:13, Thu 3 February 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3286264.

The traffic lights on the roundabout(only 1 set) seem to have changed recently so that only 5 cars at most go through from the A36 heading to the A326 or westbound M27. It used to be more than that i am sure but the lights seem to change much quicker even though there is still traffic to clear them. people are going through on amber as they don't want to wait for the next changeover - definite priority for traffic coming off the motorway.

  • I went through them yesterday and still very short sequence for vehicles coming from A36 to A326/M27(W). Some cars took 3 changes of lights to get through. Are the sensor pads not working since the road was resurfaced (which is lovely by the way). This was at c7.45am so quite a bit of traffic
