Mud on road

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3269514.

The road(New Road) is currently and regularly covered in mud that is coming from the Greenacres skips yard. The mud continues east bound for a good few hundred yards and this section of the A26 is already an accident black spot and in wet conditions can become very slippery!! The mud is a regular occurrence not just a one off.

  • Thank you for your report concerning mud on the road from the Greenacres Recycling site on the A26. We’re aware of this and have visited the recycling site on 27 January to discuss our safety concerns. We've been assured that the site will clear up any mud that accumulates on a daily basis to ensure the road is clean.

    We will of course continue to monitor this issue and if we have any concerns we'll consider further actions.
