Sent to National Highways less than a minute later
I was driving down the M4 and there was an overhead sign with 60mph. There were no other signs indicating a lesser speed restriction. However before I turned off the M4 to junction 19 the speed camera flashed . I was definitely driving below the indicated speed limit so there was reason for the flash. I do hope I won’t get a ticket because there must be a problem with the speed camera. Thank you.

Thank you for your report concerning a speed camera on the M4.
The speed cameras, as part of the normal operation of the system will occasionally take a test picture. This can cause the flash unit to fire, but this does not necessarily mean that an offence has been recorded.
