The road markings indicating the lane to be used for the A1023 towards Brentwood is poorly marked and results in potential for collision. The junction has 3 lanes, the inner 2 are for traffic to go to the A12 towards Chelmsford and the third lane is for the A1023 and southbound M25. Traffic is inncorrectly using lane 2 to go to the A1023 resulting in potential for collisions and conflict. There needs to be much clearer guidance as to the correct lane to use.

Road markings ineffective and worn.

This is still an issue and is causing chaos at this junction with extremely poor lane discipline. I have seen several near misses and experienced abuse from those using the incorrect lane to go to Brentwood.
If anything, the road markings are now in a worse condition and difficult to see.
