No signs

Reported via mobile in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 10:55, Wed 12 January 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3234750.

Why is there no signage when leaving Trowse bypass leading to the brundall roundabout stating this road is shut ahead , not until you get to roundabout is there any notice of this . Nothing on A47 stating road will be shut for a certain time either . Totally unacceptable by yourselves yet again but then you don't really care . Maybe you could let me know when and how long these roadworks will last if you even know yourself.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding diversion signage on the A47. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

I am sorry that you are having to raise these concerns with us. I understand how frustrating this must be for you.

The next phase of work will be carrying out repairs to sections of the A47 in both directions, between Trowse Newton and Acle. We plan to complete this work over 11 weeks from Tuesday 4 January to Friday 25 March 2022, working weeknights only between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.

We have extensive signage out for the diversion route and junctions that are closed, but we will pass your concerns onto the contractors to ensure they meet with the agreed traffic management plans.

In the future could you please report issues such as this to our Customer Contact Centre as this reporting tool is designed for defects such as a broken sign or barrier, litter, overgrown vegetation or potholes.
