Zebra crossing lighting and signage

Reported via mobile in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 11:10, Tue 11 January 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3231881.

Now a diversion route, this pedestrian crossing on the east bound slip road to tge A31 is very dangerous. The cars just don’t stop. Being two lanes if a car stops to give way on the inside Lane cars just overtake at great speed while you are crossing. What is needed is increased signage, to advise drivers to give way to pedestrians, a reduction to one Lane to prevent overtaking on the slip road. Also the amber beacons on the crossing are very green and dirty and really not very bright for drivers to see. This road is now much busier and this issue is an accident waiting to happen. I gave already witnessed numerous near misses in a few days.
