Road lighting not working

The road light located in the central reservation is not working on the A47, eastbound carriageway side, approaching the Brundall roundabout.

  • Thank you for your report concerning lighting on the A47. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

    Our lighting team are aware of the issue in this area. These lanterns are older, sodium lanterns which are now obsolete. We can no longer maintain or replace the lanterns as they reach the end of their serviceable life. We intend to replace the lanterns on the double brackets in the central reserve with modern LED lighting. New LED lanterns will replace the old lanterns without the need to replace the existing columns.

    This work will take place in over the next few months.
