Insufficient lane guidance

As you approach this roundabout, lane signage says you can use both lanes of the A31 to turn right to continue on to the A31. The left hand lane is only to be used to continue forwards to the A348.
As the lane signage is only on the road, during busy times (and especially summer holidays) many road users do not see the road signage and use the right hand lane of the A31 to continue on to the A348. When this occurs at the same time as another driver in the left hand lane is trying to turn right, this causes many near misses and collisions.

Thank you for contacting National Highways.
We have passed your report regarding the lane signage on the A31 to our Signs Team who will review the issue as part of their next safety check and will investigate the area to determine any amendments required.
At present, I'm unable to provide a better timescale on their investigations however I'd like to assure you the area will be continually monitored.
Kind regards National Highways

I reported the same problem 8 years ago, and yet still nothing has been done. You only have to look at this location on your website to clearly see that a number of safety conscious drivers can see a serious lacking of signage and markings at this specific location, all highlighting the same problem, and yet you still do nothing. I can only conclude that National Highways safety culture, is in drastic need of improvement.
