Where recent vegetation clearance has taken place in the eastbound and westbound verges (junction 19-17) there is a significant amount of litter in verge that appears to have been chopped up further by the strimmers.

  • Thank you for your report concerning litter on the M4 between junction 19 and 17.

Before carrying out our vegetation cut, we carried out a litter pick, however much of the litter was buried deep in the vegetation itself and couldn't safely be reached. Once we've completed the vegetation cut in each section, we will be going back to litter pick again to clear the verges.

    Kind regards
