Broken boundary fence and flytipping

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 12:24, Sun 12 December 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

Hay bale from adjacent property has fallen from stockpile on adjacent property, broken through boundary fence and is now lying in verge between MP70/7 and MP70/6. Soil and flytipped waste (tyres, brick, concrete, etc.) has been stockpiled against boundary fence at a potentially unstable angle with evidence of failed material breaking through boundary fence.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about a broken boundary fence and fly tipping along the M62 near junction 21. Your report has been passed to our local inspector who will review the issue as part of their next safety check. We will arrange repairs as needed to our fencing and remove the fly tipped rubbish where necessary.

    Kind regards,
