Numerous potholes on the road as you take the corner off of the roundabout and head towards A12.

Reported via mobile in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 13:00, Fri 26 November 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3145197.

Large set of potholes cover half of the live lane, do not do tyres good especially as in a 40mph bend and not much space to avoid. Will contribute to misaligned wheels. Issue has been present for over 5 months

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about the potholes on the A12 at Mark Teys roundabout. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

The route inspector for the area is aware that there is an issue at the location. Repairs were carried out recently with further resurfacing planned for January 2022. A larger plan to repair the whole area later next year is currently being looked at.

Potholes can be hazardous and we have processes in place to ensure they are made safe quickly. We also carry out frequent safety inspections where potholes and other defects are recorded. We then carry out repairs prioritising the most serious.

Thank you again for contacting us. If you need more information about this, please feel free to contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 500 or by email at info@highwaysengland.co.uk.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
