4 inch deep 2 meters wide

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 00:32, Mon 1 November 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3095918.

Hi, this pot hole / trench! on A12 is after junction 14, when heading towards Colchester. I think it is before junction 16 but definitely before junction 19.

Its on a 2 carriage section of the A12 on the left hand lane. If I remember correctly this was going up hill. Looks like the inside lane, possibly right hand too, has had repair across the width of the lane and was 1 or 2 meters in length; I assume this has come loose. Big hit in van, very high on the swear-omitor scale and surprised didn’t get punctures, as I think rims where hit. Pretty confident was at a repair site as most of road there is sandy/grey colour (concrete?) and this happened across a black strip in the road (tarmac?).

Didn't notice it last time I drove the Friday 29th
