Variable speed camera constantly flashing M60 junction 15 M61 slip road

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3086563.

The speed cameras are constantly flashing at this junction even though traffic was slow due to it being rush hour

  • Hi I would like you to informtoday 05.02.24 around 11 am motorway way speed camera from M61 junction 15 Manchester to Leeds way. Flashing constant cars that did not exceed speed limits in that area Rgds

  • Hi I would like to report a faulty flashing speed camera on the M60 J16 to J17 at approx 1am on 24/4/24. Two lane closures towards J17 and a reduced speed limit to 40. The person in front of me was in the same (second lane closure) and seem to be doing within the speed limit as I was after passing shortly after this person. There was a short window after passing from J16 to J17 to get into the 3rd non closed lane. This seemed to be due to road works and lame closures. It seems odd that we were both flashed given how short the notice was to get into the 3rd lane after passing the lane closure display sign. Could someone advise on why this happened and if it is a part of the highway code to receive a fine in this situation, or could it mean that the camera was calibrating to the new speed limit set?

  • Joining the M60 at j16 on 11th June approx 11pm, I was travelling around 60-65mph and was flashed. There were no variable speed limits. Is there still a problem with the camera?!

  • Hi I’d like to report that on the 14/06/2025 at 04.11am I was flashed for going over the speed limit in a 50mph limit. I was going 65mph apparently but I’m struggling to see why there would be a variable speed limit in place at this time in the morning ? Seems unfair that I’ve been flashed going 65mph turning into a junction to turn off with what I would so no need for a 50mph limit in place on any of the lanes . I turned in to filter off and instantly got flashed without chance of slowly down allergy giving myself an offence
