Anti clockwise camera flashing at normal road speed when National 70 speed allowed

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue category anonymously at 17:35, Tuesday 26 October 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

Travelling anti clockwise on M60 approx 1945-2000 on 25/10/21 after junction 18. Speed camera either just before or just after junction 17 (can't recall).

My vehicle along with several others passed the camera on the anti clockwise carriageway which flashed more than once.

No signs illuminated on the smart motorway indicating that the variable speed had been lowered.

No idea why camera flashed as the cars were all doing similar speed 65-70.

No other speed signs illuminated whilst travelling to junction 12.

Possibility the signs were off but the cameras were set to a lower speed?
