The section of road from Chowns Mill Roundabout to Stanwick Roundabout has been resurfaced very poorly. The original surface was smoother than it is now

  • Thank you for your report concerning poor road surface, we can confirm that the repair was completed The A45 dual carriageway between Chowns Mill and Stanwick has been resurfaced. The work has been texture-depth and ride quality tested by National Highways and fully complies to our high level construction requirements. The carriageway appearance is a bit more ‘shiny’ at this time due to a recent SCRIM test (SCRIM stands for Sideway-force Coefficient Routine Investigation Machine) and is used to measure wet skidding resistance on road surfaces If you require any further update on this issue our Customer Contact Centre is available 24 hours a day at:
