Sent to National Highways less than a minute later
Patchy, but sizeable infestations of Japanese knotweed on the A55 near Manchester Airport where it meets the M56 at Junction 5. It is all along the slip road to the motorway. I work for local Trust to control invasives in the area and this is undermining the work we are undertaking to control this invasive species, and others, on a landscape scale.
Thank you for contacting National Highways.
We have passed your report regarding Japanese Knotweed to our environment inspector who will review the issue as part of their next inspections in this area.
We aim to provide a further update no later than 02/11/2021
Kind regards National Highways
