Temporary 30mph speed limit.

Reported via mobile in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 21:00, Fri 15 October 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3065262.

This is highly dangerous. There are 4 lanes of traffic on a 70mph trunk road with 30mph temporary speed limit signs displayed. There are no visible roadworks and most cars are ignoring the limit. If someone tries to drive through at 30mph there will be a serious accident, it is only a matter of time. You need to find other ways to slow the traffic or remove the 30 mph signs.

Updates

  • Eastbound slip-road into Ringwood from A31: To avoid Ringwood traffic backing up onto the A31, because Ringwood traffic traditionally queues in the righthand lane, could you please put up temporary signs on both sides of the slip-road for Ringwood traffic to use both lanes? There are two lanes around the roundabout under the A31 to go into Ringwood, so this will expedite traffic leaving the congested A31 undergoing major roadworks.
