Pothole in road totally destroyed two of my tyres
Reported via mobile in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 17:18, Sat 9 October 2021
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3051986.
Whilst driving west on the m4 yesterday morning at 0658, I was exiting the membury services when a large pothole in the left lane took out my two offside tyres. It was about 150 yards before the shell fuelling station.

Pothole still there ripped 2 tyres - so dangerous and negligent. If damage was a bit less and you continued onto the motorway it is major accident waiting to happen with burst tyres at high speed. Was supposed to be on holiday now with our free young children. We work in the health service and were waiting for this break. Completely avoidable and easy to fix. Come on!

Ref the response from the Highways Agency above - this is just passing the buck. An accident caused by this pothole on the motorway this slipway runs onto will be your responsibility. Work with the services to get sorted to protect lives on your roads. Life is precious. Surely safety must be why you get up in the morning. A phone call, some folk on the scene with a little tarmac could prevent an accident waiting to happen
