Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding a pothole on the bridge which carries Back Lane over the M6 south of Junction 35.

The responsibility for this issue, on this road, is that of Lancashire Highways. It's our bridge, but they maintain the highway running over it. Back Lane gets lots of heavy traffic travelling to and from the quarry.

Could we please ask that you contact the local authority to resolve.

Contact details for local authorities can be found by using the search facility at: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-council.

    Thank you,

    National Highways

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
