  • Thank you for contacting National Highways.

We appreciate you taking time to report. In September we carried out repair works at Gapton which brought the majority of lighting back on. Following that we carried out works to change all lamps for the street lighting from Great Yarmouth to Lowestoft. We have subsequently carried out a night time scout to see what remains unlit. From the scout we are planning some further investigations to see why the unlit lights are still unlit, but we are looking at what we can do to improve the situation. We are also looking at the feasibility to install an above ground system to solve the issue of recurring water ingress at Gapton.

    Thank you contacting National Highways.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
