Returning last night on a ferry into Portsmouth and trying to get to Salisbury we entered a nightmare of inadequate signage concerning the closure of the M27 westbound. We knew the area a little but non-locals, not to mention foreign visitors / truck drivers must have had no idea how to proceed. We made it eventually via the back streets of Cosham and Fareham. Hopelessly inadequate..
