Drain blocked

Reported via mobile in the Flooding/drainage category anonymously at 00:07, Tuesday 5 October 2021

Sent to National Highways 2 days, 7 hours, 30 minutes later

The drain in the bus stop does not take water. This results in water from the A49 flowing into Church Road and has caused residential flooding. Despite this being reported numerous times, it appears although nothing is being done and the high risk of future flooding remains.

  • Can you share your findings and an action plan to address this? This issue has been raised multiple times since Feb 2020, and so far, the significant risk of residential flooding remains and I can only draw the conclusion that it is because Highways don't care, and don't want to spend money on fixing their problem and would rather see residents flood again

  • Once again, this drain is blocked, and no water passes through. Despite no rain recently, the drain is still full of water.
