Blocked Gulleys

Reported via mobile in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 14:39, Tue 28 September 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3030079.

All of the surface water gulleys are blocked and full of mud/silt. During yesterday’s heavy downpour this resulted in excess standing water. This has a significant impact on road safety and causes premature wear to the strategic road network. There is clearly no planned maintenance regime in place. A night time lane closure and TM is required to clear these prior to winter to ensure free flowing traffic on the strategic road network for the 300,000 people that live and work in the Stoke on Trent/Newcastle under Lyme urban conurbation
