Dartford crossing constant delays

Reported via desktop in the Road markings category anonymously at 10:50, Thursday 23 September 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

This section of road needs to be re-designed as there seem to be a very high number of accidents here. I believe this is due to excessive lane changing encouraged by the layout (and moronic drivers). We need a "stay in lane" rule here and perhaps a 40mph speed limit, enforced using police and cameras with zero tolerance. On 22 September it took 33 minutes to travel 0.4 miles down Cotton Lane due to delays at this awful crossing.

  • Nothing done and a denial that excessive lane changing takes place!

  • Now been informed the design encourages lane changing as trucks of a larger height must move to the right lanes to go through the right hand tunnel. So they conflict with all the moronic drivers who insist on being in the "fast" lane!
