Damage to central reservation barrier

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3012899.

Around 20 metres of barrier on the westbound carriageway appears to have no structural support with the bits that go in the ground broken. I presume this is not safe to stop a vehicle if colliding with the barrier?

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England, regarding damage to central reservation barrier on the A27.

    Having passed your concerns to our inspector who recently viewed the location. We're advised that there are no damaged barrier at this location and currently has no safety concerns.

    In the meantime, we’ll continue to monitor this stretch of the A27 during our inspections when any safety issues will be raised for urgent mitigation.
