Bumps in road like mini speed bumps

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 07:23, Thu 16 September 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3004495.

As you head west bound from after the A11 turning towards Quy mainy down hill, there are between 3 and 5 bumps in the road, like a mini speed bumps across sideways, really quite a hit at 70mph. In the section with 3 bridges that cross over.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the road bumps on the A14.

Bumps on the road can be hazardous and we have processes in place to ensure they are made safe quickly. We also carry out frequent safety inspections where potholes and other defects are recorded. We then carry out repairs prioritising the most serious.

We are aware of this and our inspector has reviewed this location recently and doesn’t feel it is a safety concern at this time.

We will continue to review this and will arrange any required work if the situation changes.

Thank you again for contacting us.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
