Road markings for crossing points at top of A38 slip roads where they join with Kedleston Road.

On both slip roads here that connect the A38 and Kedleston Road there is a separated cycle/footpath that crosses over the top of the two junctions which is used by many people including school children and university students. I have witnessed many people come close to a collision with traffic, as they have not been aware of which way to look for oncoming traffic when crossing. To make it safer for the pedestrians and cyclists crossing here, I wonder whether it would be possible to install ‘Look left’/‘Look right’ road markings at the crossing points? I think this would make it considerably safer, and hopefully reduce the chances of a collision here. Many thanks for looking into this.
