Ridges full width of carriageway in 7 places

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2945440.

This is a dangerous stretch of carriage way to wait at least another 12months for repairs is crazy. I have just paid over £300 for new suspension arms on both sides of my car. There should be signs warning drivers. And intermediate repairs done.

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England about the road surface on the A2 near Bridge.

    I’m pleased to advise that a major scheme is currently under development which will involve full levelling and resurfacing between Nackington and Bridge, with anticipated construction in the next financial year 2022/2023.

    We continue to monitor this location under our weekly safety inspections when any safety defects will be recorded and mitigated as appropriate ahead of the aforementioned scheme.
