Obscured view of oncoming traffic

Reported via mobile in the Vegetation (grass/hedges/trees) (NH) category anonymously at 10:18, Thu 19 August 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2945132.

At the bottom of the slip road at the junction off the A56 going onto the A679 northbound the overgrown trees and hedgerow blocks all visibility from approaching traffic approaching from the right. It’s a complete blindspot and I have on numerous occasions nearly been involved in an accident due to speeding cars and not being able to see them approaching. I commute and use this slip road on a daily basis and it’s getting increasingly worse. I spoke to Burnley Council who say they are not responsible. Please can you advise who is responsible before an accident occurs? Thank you!
