Since the building of new homes at Saxon Corner there is an increased noise level from A27. Has the landscape (trees etc) changed as a result of this new build. How do I get someone to assess the level of noise?
Thank you for contacting Highways England about increased road noise from the A27 .
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing noise from the adjacent A27 and I can appreciate the unwelcomed intrusion. This location isn’t defined as a Noise Important Area (NIA) and as such at this time we have no noise mitigation plans in our forward programme.
The way in which we manage traffic noise issues on the Strategic Road Network (SRN) is driven by the requirements of the Environmental Noise (England) Regulations 2006 via the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
