Streetlighting issues, A52 Nottingham

Reported via desktop in the Street lighting (NH) category anonymously at 00:52, Tue 17 August 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2939751.

Several bad patches of streetlighting issues on the A52 from Nottingham Knight roundabout to the junction with Derby Road. Many sections of streetlights, bollards and illuminated signs are out including on Clifton Bridge and the very tall lighting columns at the Queen's Drive and A453 junctions with the A52, please inspect this stretch of highway at night.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England about lighting.

We are aware of these, unfortunately the Clifton Bridge works are holding us back in getting the repairs done. A feeder pillar in this area is due to have a new up rated supply installed by Western Power and once it is installed it should bring back on a number of lights. Our contractor have arranged to repair/install three new columns on the Westbound off slip to the A453 and if there are any other faults on the slip road they will be repaired at the same time. Our contractors are liaising with the Emergency Clifton Bridge Scheme Traffic Management and when they can find availability to share traffic management when possible.

    Kind regards Highways England
