Unnecessary cones at the approach to the roundabout from Bexhill.

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 12:17, Sat 14 August 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2935099.

Merged traffic causing unnecessary tailbacks on approach to roundabout. Closing one lane here does not affect traffic flow through the road works to the south of the following roundabout . It impedes traffic flow to the north along the A22 unnecessarily. I have witnessed traffic driving through the lay-by to make up 4 or 5 places .

  • Thanks for contacting Highways England. We're grateful for your feedback.

We're aiming to complete the section of work between Cophall roundabout and Polegate junction over the weekend of 22 August 2021. This will mean all the traffic management in this section will be removed.

We’re sending out a regular newsletter to customers with updates on road closures and progress. The most recent edition is attached. Please let us know if you’d like to be added to the distribution list by emailing A27eastoflewes@highwaysengland.co.uk or by calling our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 5000.
