Sent to National Highways less than a minute later
The fence at the top of the slip road / top end of back lane to No's 318 - 328 Dunston Road, has been damaged and there is now a huge hole big enough for children playing or pets / dogs to get through leading right on to the very busy slip road from the A1.
Thank you for contacting Highways England concerning this damaged fence. We will look into this issue and aim to provide a response by 24/08/21.

Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding a damaged fence.
As this is an all purpose trunk road all fences are the responsibility of the adjacent landowner. In this case the responsibility for this issue, on this road, is that of Gateshead Council.
Could we please ask that you contact them to resolve this issue.
