Updates

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding the structures near Chain bar. From the location it’s Chain Bar I/C North bridge was last principally inspected 2 years ago which is an in depth inspection with no real issues noted and is due a general inspection shortly so we will check the location. It is not unusual for concrete structures to suffer from an issue called spalling, this is where loose surface concrete can come away. Mostly it is a cosmetic issue but we do appreciate you contacting us. I trust the above is of help. If you require any further information, Highways England can be contacted on 0300 123 5000 or email info@highwaysengland.co.uk.
