Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 22:35, Tue 3 August 2021
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2912611.
Traffic lights been out for over 2 weeks now and it's VERY DANGEROUS Island to pull onto from M6 slip road as the angle of the car when you reach the junction. A crash happened today, how many more before they are fixed on this MAJOR junction?

Thank you for your email to our Customer Contact Centre on 10 August about the traffic lights at M6 junction 11. I'm sorry for the issues you are having with this area, and I understand your concerns. This issue is not do with replacing a bulb. The traffic signal controller cabinet was subject to a RTC following a police chase a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the incident, it will be 12 weeks until the cabinet and controller can be replaced. Until such time the signals will remain off and the roundabout will revert to a traditional give way style use on the one side. As this incident happened on a roundabout and it can function using give way, this is not a safety critical issue and temporary traffic lights are not needed. The issue you mention with people jumping the queue on the slip road is not something we can control, as this is a driver behaviour issue. I would advise you report this to the Police if you witness this happen.
