Cattle grid

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 18:30, Sun 25 July 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2889869.

With regards to the cattle grid at the top of Castle Malwood hill from the Minstead road that leads out onto the A31. A large number of the cattle grid rail mounting bolts have worked loose and in some cases the mount bolts have fallen out. This fault I consider very urgent!!

  • The nuts securing the bolts of these new style cattle grid bars have worked loose again leaving the bars loose and clattering when driven over. Annoying noise possible hazard. Try "Loctite" (other brands may be available) or locknuts. Cllr Bill ANDREWS, Chair Minstead PC
