Missing sign, A52, Bingham

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2873634.

Missing 200yrd countdown sign to the old Saxondale Roundabout. Located on the Bingham bypass (A52) facing westbound traffic approaching the roundabout. The 300 and 100 yards countdown markers are present but the 200yrds marker is missing.

  • Thank you for your patience whilst our inspector reviewed your report. During the review our inspector doesn’t feel that this is causing any safety concerns at this time and remedial work isn’t required. We can't find any evidence that a 200m countdown sign was ever installed at this location. The sign would be in the centre of a layby and would be obscured by any vehicles parked there. We'll continue our investigation. We will continue to review this and will arrange any required work if the situation changes.

  • The 200yrds sign was present in 2009 and can be seen in the Nov 2008 Streetview slightly further up the road. The sign would actually be located adjacent to the junction layout sign at the end of the layby instead of being placed next to it.
