  • Thank you for contacting Highways England, regarding overgrown vegetation on the A27.

    Having passed this onto our Inspection Team, our Safety Inspector who carried out an inspection earlier today advised that whilst the junction may look untidy, the vegetation length isn’t currently obscuring sightlines and doesn’t constitute a safety defect at this time. Grass cutting will be scheduled in within our maintenance partners next ‘blockade’ works along this stretch of the A27.

    In the meantime, we continue to inspect the A27 every 7 days when any defects are recorded, and suitable mitigation carried out.
