Road flooded on top of motorway bridge

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2855212.

Where the road have been resurfaced it’s created a lot of standing water in bad rain. I’ve just aquaplaned over it nearly off the waste of the bridge, I was only doing 45mph at the time. This is only since the road was redone after closures last week.

  • To fully understand this issue, we'll inspect the location when it is raining. This will help us to determine the cause of the standing water. The dry weather recently has prevented us from fully investigating. As soon as we get the opportunity, we'll determine the cause of the issue and arrange any remedial works that may be required.
