Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2843827.

Self sown trees growing in central reservation, resulting poor visibility, also the roots will cause significant damage to lane 2. Prevention is better than cure in this case as lane/road closure would be necessary both east and west bound.

    We carry out regular inspections of all our roads and cut back the vegetation where we find that it is limiting visibility of road signs, traffic signals or the view ahead. Ringway will be commencing cuts from July to September. Our 2m swathe is a safety cut to allow safe pedestrian refuge in the case of an emergency stop and to ensure grass does not encroach into the carriageway. We try to preserve as much nature grassland as possible for wildlife which rely on the grass as a corridor for travel and pollination. Where necessary we cut back further. This includes sign and junction visibility to achieve the desired sight lines for safety.
