Fence in Disrepair and no longer livestock proof Between Corley Services and Junction 3 on the M6

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 12:37, Mon 28 June 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2823680.

Dear Sir or Madam

Over the past 3 years, the fence on the northbound stretch of the M6 has deteriorated, to the point, where livestock are now leaning on the fence to graze and it is almost giving away. I regularly commute down the M6 so have seen the gradual deterioration of the fence line and worry about the livestock breaking through on to the motorway.

Updates

  • However the worst part of the fencing is either side of bridge, which can be seen when walking, with a number holes in the fence. Allowing cattle and easy escape option onto the motorway.
