Strimming discarded waste practce.

Reported via desktop in the Litter (NH) category anonymously at 09:42, Mon 28 June 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2822990.

After observing a contractor strimming the grasses and vegetation in this area I'd like to know why the discarded waste ie litter wasn't picked from it prior to strimming? I ask because now the litter has now been shredded and dispersed further into the highway and natural environment. I have seen this practice a few times in the last couple of weeks and whilst I have only been able to report this as a low priority issue, waste leakage into the environment - particularly plastics and microplastics leakage - is a priority issue and I'd hope Highways can remedy this poor practice.
