Traffic light timing issue on Amounderness Way junction with West Drive

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 14:22, Thursday 24 June 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

Lights on red for long periods on the main road Amounderness Way both directions. Pedestrian lights working when no pedestrians present. Often all roads on red. Problem for many months. Lancashire County Council say you are responsible for lights although they responsible for road. The next set of lights at the junction with Bourne Way also faulty going north change to red then immediately change back. Will report separately

Updates

  • As you are aware there have been problems at this junction for some time. We need to replace all the sensors (those in the carriageway and the high level ones mounted on columns) to ensure the lights are working efficiently again. This will require significant traffic management and we are currently in discussions with our technology contractor to determine how quickly this can be resolved.
