Road surfaces are very bad and cause flooding and tyre damage

The road has needed to be resurfaced for over a year, 'bumpy road ' signs are pointless.

Thank you for contacting Highways England about the condition of the roads.
Our safety inspector for the A23 is aware of of the carriageway deterioration. Temporary repairs aren’t effective, so we currently have ‘bumpy roads’ signage installed by way of mitigation to make drivers aware.
I understand that we’re exploring options and costings so we can establish how to address this fully as soon as we can. I’m sorry I can’t immediately resolve your concerns.
We will provide a further update to confirm when the work has been completed.
