Confusing road markings and signage

Reported via mobile in the Road markings category anonymously at 12:42, Saturday 19 June 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

When I was driving out of the Selborne exit to turn right onto the A3 towards Portsmouth, I used the right hand lane as instructed by the signs, as the left hand lane only goes left and straight on. At the section where the right lane merges into the left lane, I was cut up by a car driving in the left lane from the same exit as me.

Markings really need to be redone on this section to match the signage.
