Fatigued Road markings

Reported via desktop in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 17:13, Fri 18 June 2021

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2802349.

Road markings on this tricky junction are illegible and although 'no road markings' boards have been erected there has been no progress on repainting them during the last 6 + months leading to a number of 'near misses' especially as the markings go against the usual rules for behaviour at this junction.

Updates

  • Still no progress on replacing these road markings - It is now over 12 months since first reported. This is a very busy junction with vehicles having to pass in front of each other and many leaner drivers using this as a training route. Markings are now completely invisible and the area is dangerous to all road users. New markings for the red light camera were installed a couple of months ago, but no attempt made to renew the other lines and arrows.
