Sent to National Highways less than a minute later
Works are taking place on the slip road on to the A2 from bean road joining the A2 towards London.
The main slip road is closed and there is now only an incredibly short slip road available to use as you join the A2. The slip road is not long enough and you need to build up speed to try and join the A road which has a speed limit of 70mph but as the slip road is so sooner and you cannot see the traffic coming towards you as you join it’s so unsafe and I was nearly crushed by a lorry. The cars are speeding down the road and there is no time or space to join the A2 - I had to slam my breaks as I couldn’t see the lorry until it was time to join the road and then there was no space to. The lorry also probably couldn’t see me until it was too late to move over. I had a young baby in the car and I was so frightened and I’m now too scared to take this road.
I feel this needs to be rectified urgently before there is a major accident.
