Obscured road sign

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2775686.

I reported that the speed limit signs of 50 mph are inadequate here: one is obscured in the summer months by foliage from the nearby hedge; the second is afixed to the back of a sign facing the other direction at the wrong height. It is impossible to see at certain times of day

  • Thank you for your report which was passed to our Inspector for review during his safety inspection along this stretch of the A27 on 16 June 2021.

    He reports that the 50mph signs meet current standards, with double signs as you enter the restrictions and repeaters at the required distances. All signs were clear and visible.
